Tips to care for Window BlindsBlissful Blinds

Before you start cleaning any blinds, ensure that any curtains are moved away from dirt or water and move any ornaments.

Vacuum

Always use a vacuum with a brush attachment and at low power to avoid doing any damage.

Cleaning Dirt Spots

If one spot is to be cleaned, use warm water with some mild detergent, dab the spot and rub gently.
If unsure about the detergent, practice this in a hidden corner of the fabric as a test area.
Rub very gently as you could leave a shiny spot on vinyl or a faded spot on fabric.

Dust

Blowing is obviously fine, but use of compressed air needs to be done with care to avoid separating fabric.

Vinyl Blinds

Use a Feather Duster regularly to keep your vinly shining and free of static or heavy dust.
If you need to use a detergent, try it on a hidden corner spot and wipe from one side to the other keeping the same directional format for all slats.

Wooden Blinds

Same again for wood, use a Feather Duster regularly to keep your vinyl shining and free of static or heavy dust.
If you need to use a detergent, try it on a hidden corner spot and wipe from one side to the other keeping the same directional format for all slats.
